Boots 3 for 2

Hello Ladies!

I know I haven't done many videos in a while as the last few weeks I have bought mainly makeup bits and I thought it's more useful to see how things look on or hear reviews of the products to know whether they're worth buying, also said by the very wise HollyYMBB too in her latest video I noticed. I know I struggle to tell from either the back of my hand, or someone else's, how that colour will look on me, and I have drawers full (well ok not quite literally!) of lipsticks and glosses purchased, tried once and discarded as not the right colour for me. Frustrating, and expensive! So today is a sneak peek into saying big makeup video coming soon! Boots 3 for 2 offers, quite cleverly being per brand and not across the whole of the makeup counters has had me purchasing quite a few bits :-) loving the amount I've saved, and also loving the slightly braver pieces I've picked that if it wasnt free I might not have selected.

I think I'll split the videos up into products I used right away, products that I used a while after getting, and products purchased that are still in the packaging! Not sure if theres going to be enough in the middle section as I have dived right in there with quite a few, so might end up being two aaaand curling with GHDs planned too :-) Thank you so much for all lovely comments posted that outfit of the day video with curled hair, click on the purple text to see if you haven't already :-) Outfit of the day with curled hair video! It's given me more confidence to be a bit more adventurous and was also confidence boosting generally :-)

Thanks again,

Have a lovely weekend.

Old Favourites

Yesterday while getting ready (running late as per usual) I realised I'd lost my Bourjois smokey eye quad (above), the exact colours for a smokey eye that suited me best. Despite a good hour search (yes my flat's that messy at the moment lol) I couldn't find it anywhere, and think I must have left it in Paris. This was my go-to palette for nights out spanning 3 years or more, and so didn't have a substitute because it was unthinkable i'd loose it. Luckily the metallicy rusty brown Collection 2000 eyeshadow I picked up on a whim as the freebie in a 3 for 2 was a perfect colour match to my top!result! It wasnt a smokey eye or an evening eye but it was enough to get me out the house. Then in all the stress and confusion I ended up forgetting mascara!the thought of leaving the house without mascara is unthinkable to me so on reflection the eyeshadow was pretty good lol.
So my dilemna now is whether to rush to town at 11 and pick up another one of Bourjois smokey eye palette, (i know I had mine a long time as they've changed the packaging now lol) or try the Sleek palette that looked so good in CosmeticCharlotte72's makeup look Youtube video, or try something totally new or mix and match colours. I've already got a gorgeous MAC black colour that I bought about 4 years ago so could just buy a grey colour but then palettes are so convenient for speed, and since I'm always running late speed is a must lol.
Hence no outfit/face of the night picture as without a dark eye and mascara I looked totally washed out, and I realised I was wearing again the black jeans, belt and new look hiking boots lol. Nothing like old favourites though :-)
Hope you're having a lovely weekend

The Body Shop Define & No Frizz

Ok firstly having scoured the high street for the Paul Mitchell Awaphui mask and not found it anywhere (so new its not out in stores, how annoying is it when magazines do that!) but before even purchasing it i have found one that's stopped my search!

Brazil Nut Define & No Frizz - Hair Styling
The Body Shop Define and No Frizz £6 for 100ml. I used it for the first time this morning and my hair has stayed frizz free and shiny looking and super soft all day! My hair is in really bad condition at the moment due to a significant lack of deep conditioning (why arent there enough hours in the day!) and honestly, if i'd had my split ends cut off last hair appointment (i only have it cut every other hair appointment to save the pennies) I wouldnt have needed to have straightened it this morning it was that sleek!

Looks: The packaging is all neutral colours, a creamy coloured tube, with brown and white coloured label, with clear cap. It smells like cocoa butter but not as strongly. Tube is sort of firm (not easily punctured if it was in your suitcase) and easy squeeze so can control how much you get out at a time. The description on the front says "smoothes and defines curls" dont let that deceive you! I'm aiming for straight hair and putting it into wet hair for me gave me lovely soft, shiny, straight hair :-) Cant vouch for what it does for curls but if you're aiming for straight non frizzy hair i'd definitely recommend you give it a go.

Day long test: I'm writing this at 11.30pm and my hairs still looking lovely and not at all greasy from putting in the product. Love it, love it, love it! Honestly cannot rave about this enough. I've tried so many de-frizz treatments, conditioning treatments that were cheaper and more expensive that i can say im truely chuffed with this one :-)

In a nutshell:  gave me shiny, soft, non frizzy hair all day. £6 isnt the cheapest but salon products will cost you a lot more so its not toooo bad a price. As an added bonus it also says that it protects from heat styling so cuts down number of products using on your hair.

Hope you're having a good week,
Love
